Little Orchestra Society: The Three C’s

Brooklyn Children’s Museum

The Little Orchestra Society is in residence at Brooklyn Children’s Museum for a series of family music workshops. Each session explores music of a different culture, engaging children, parents, and caregivers through movement, song, composition, and an introduction to world instruments.  This event explores, culture, classical music, and composing! FREE

Flute Story Time

Monday, Oct 7, 4:30pm

Silver Music 72nd St

Join our flute teacher, Zara Lawler, for 30 delightful minutes of flute-playing and story time. This is an opportunity to hear and see the flute up close and hear books come to life enhanced by flute music. This event will be geared towards children 3-7 years old. FREE

Powell Artist Flute Recital

Tuesday, Oct. 8, 6:30pm

Buffet Crampon NY Showroom

Powell Flutes Boston Artist Elise Blatchford, (a colleague of our flute teacher, Zara Lawler) will be giving a Flute Recital featuring Bach and a sonata by Carl Vine that sounds like video games! FREE

Juilliard Piano Faculty Quartet

Thursday, Oct 10, 7:30pm

Paul Hall

Juilliard faculty members and alumni will perform an evening of chamber music as part of the Daniel Saidenberg Faculty Recital Series. The program features Schumann’s Piano Quartet with composer/cellist Paul Wiancko’s American Haiku, and Ives’ complex Piano Trio. $10-$20

The Philadelphia Orchestra

Tuesday, October 15, 8pm

Carnegie Hall

Come hear one of America’s greatest orchestra with nearly 130 instruments on stage—including wind and thunder machines! The program will include Richard Strauss’ Eine Alpensinfonie and Bartok’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Tickets from $20.50

CMS Kids: Creative Creatures

Rose Studio

Featuring host Rami Vamos and CMS Artists, each CMS Kids program is an inclusive concert experience adapted for neurodiverse audiences, including children with autism or other special needs. Tickets are $25
