Very Young People’s Concert: “Treble and Bass”

Sunday & Monday, June 2-3, various times

Join Philippe the Penguin and musicians of the New York Philharmonic on a musical playground and share in the fun of music. Explore different speeds of music in an interactive concert designed by New York Philharmonic musicians together with faculty of Columbia University’s Teacher’s College. Tickets start at $26

 

New York Philharmonic: Concerts in the Park

Tuesday-Friday, June 11-14, 8pm

The New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks, Presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, have become an iconic New York summer experience since they began in 1965, transforming parks throughout the city into a patchwork of picnickers and providing music lovers with an opportunity to hear the best classical music under the stars. FREE

 

Mozart for Munchkins with the Mother Goose Club

Saturday, June 8, 4pm

Greenwich House Music School

Co-founders Sara Leila Sherman (piano) and Hilary Castle (violin) are thrilled to be presenting Mozart for Munchkins in Greenwich Village with a program inspired by our magnificent natural world. Tickets are $30 (kids under 12 are free)

Silver Music Students, Faculty & Friends Chamber Music Concert

The National Opera Center.

Come hear Silver Music students, faculty, and musician parents and friends perform together at the National Opera Center! This will be an exciting program featuring violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, and voice! FREE

National Children’s Festival Chorus

Monday, June 17, 8pm

Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage

Manhattan Concert Productions presents an evening of choral music with Schumann’s Requiem and Haydn’s Paukenmesse with the Masterwork Festival Chorus, professional soloists, and the New York City Chamber Orchestra. The concert will also feature the National Children’s Festival Chorus. Tickets start at $20
