CLASS MAKE-UP POLICY
If possible, please inform us via email if your child will be absent from a weekly class. Space and schedule permitting, one makeup class may be granted each class session for an absence with advance notice given. To confirm availability, you must email silvermusic@silvermusic.org to confirm a spot in an appropriate makeup class during the same session of the missed class. (There are no makeups offered during our Summer Sessions.)
Our policy on make-ups is generous in comparison with similar programs in the City. If you have further questions about the issue, please read this illuminating article written by a Suzuki mom and professional economist: Makeup Lessons from an Economist’s Point of View
SIBLINGS
Younger siblings are given a sibling discount to attend classes. Siblings not enrolled in the class can sit quietly and observe the class with a grown-up or sit in the waiting area. Siblings need to enroll in the class in order to participate. If a sibling would like to try a class, please let us know.
FOOD/DRINK
Please keep all food and drink in the waiting area. If your child needs a quick bite or sip of water, we invite you to step out for a moment and return as you are ready.
WAITING AREA
Please help us keep this area tidy and clean up after yourselves.
CONCERNS AND QUESTIONS
We encourage you to share your concerns with us! Sometimes our teachers are very busy and do not have much time between classes but please always feel free to send us an email with your concerns. One common question we often hear is about readiness for lessons or “the next step”. The Frequently Asked Questions page on our website may help you with readiness questions but please talk with us if you have more questions.
