Shinichi Suzuki’s seminal text is titled Nurtured by Love and it is a comprehensive introduction to Dr. Suzuki’s life and philosophy.

Edmund Sprunger is a Suzuki teacher, teacher trainer, and psychotherapist who has tremendous insight in to the Suzuki experience for both parents and students. His book, Helping Parents Practice: Ideas for Making it Easier, is an invaluable resource for all parents as they learn, and relearn, how to do the daily work of practicing with their child.

Sprunger’s second book, Building Violin Skills, is a fantastic introduction to the process of learning the violin, including description of technique, and is a great guide for parents new to both violin and the Suzuki approach.
