Very Young People’s Concert

Center for Family Life at PS 503/506
The NY Phil explores basic musical ideas through movement, singing, and humor. All events are free and open to the public. Boro-Linc events are recommended for all ages and their family members.

The MET Orchestra
Saturday, June 3, 3:00pm
Stern Auditorium
Come hear the MET Orchestra perform works by Mahler and Schumann. See if you can spot a few Silver Music parents in the orchestra! Tickets from $26.

Bach on the Marimba
Saturday, June 3, 8:00pm
Saint Peter’s Church
In this program, three marimbas will offer a contemporary interpretation of works by J.S. Bach, for the enjoyment of both parents and children. Appropriate for all ages, FREE.

The NY Philharmonic
Wednesday, June 14, 8:00pm
Central Park Great Lawn
Hear fantastic music and enjoy the great outdoors at the same time! The NY Phil Orchestra will be performing
Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances, and Gershwin’s An American in Paris on the Great Lawn. FREE.

St. Luke’s Cello Quintet
Friday, June 16, 7:30pm
The Morgan Library & Museum
Performers from St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble share Schubert’s String Quartet in C Major (nicknamed the “Cello” Quintet for the unusual choice of a second cello). Curators from The Morgan Library & Museum, will engage in a pre-concert conversation on the theme of unfinished artistic works. Cost: $40-$50.

Silver Music Family Concert
Saturday, June 17, 4:30pm
218 W 72nd St
Join us for a Family Concert with Armando “Mando” Batista, an educator and urban story-teller for young audiences! The cost is $12/person online in advance or $15/person at the door (children under 2 attend for free). This concert is ideal for children ages 2-6 years old.
